María Fernanda Alcantara, UCSC HSI Project Consultant

María (she/her/ella) serves as a project consultant to the UCSC HSI Initiatives team, primarily supporting the implementation of the GANAS Graduate Pathways grant. Her experience in project management, program coordination, administrative analysis, and student leadership enables her to promote and advocate for the retention, representation, and degree attainment of Latinx and BIPOC students. Her philosophy is to serve as a catalyst for social transformation in educational platforms. María Fernanda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Legal Studies, and Latin American and Latino Studies from UC Santa Cruz.
